VETERINARY MEDICAL MANIPULATION (VMM)
Veterinary Medical Manipulation is the process of palpating a motion segment (joint plus its surrounding connective tissues) for abnormal laxity or restrictions and then applying a directed thrust to the segment to restore it to normal motion in animals. The result is a wide range of effects on the body and performance.
Veterinary Medical Manipulation focuses on restoring motion segment function as well as the health of the nervous system and joints. The effects reach throughout the body to help maintain health. Remember, the nervous system is the highway that tells the body how to move, if there is pain and keeps all organs functioning. The spinal cord is encased in the spine; restrictions in the bones and connective tissue can therefore inhibit nerve function.
Some of the conditions VMM can be useful in the treatment of are below:

-
Muscle soreness
-
Lameness
-
Improving performance
-
Arthritis
-
Injuries from trauma
-
Weakness
-
Neuropathies
